Brown paper nautilus, Argonauta hians, (2 cm), female, she reates a paper-thin eggcase that coils around the octopus. A. hians is cosmopolitan and a variable species. There are two distinct forms; a "southern" form and "northern" form The southern form is most abundant in the Philippines and South China Sea.
