Ghost shark, or Rabbit fish, Chimaera monstrosa (130 cm), imaged in Trondheim Fjord, Norway

The mysterious ghost sharkj has an impressive outline with a large spine being the first ray of its dorsal fin. The barbe is venomous. It is a cartilaginous fish, a relative of sharks and rays. Rabbit fish live at between 200 and 1 000 metres deep.
