Mating toads (Bufo bufo)
Location: A small lake, Billebjär stenbrott, Skåne, Sweden.
The toads end their long winter by jumping into the pond in the spring to reproduce. It is maybe the best time of the year, at least if you are a toad. There is a small male on the back of this impressive female. I use a fisheye lens to create an underwater feeling showing the branches above.
